I probably knew the answer at one time, but it escapes me now.
I'm having a hard time getting all my water in during the day, especially with the cooler weather.
If I drink hot tea (no milk with splenda) does that count for water?
Thanks everyone

I count tea as water. I have about 6 cups of it throughout the day at work (it's always so cold in my office and cold water is hard to swallow!). I don't count coffee because I put stuff in it.0

I don't count anything as water but WATER.0

The only thing that is not pure water that I still count as water is when I add a little bit of lemon or lime juice to my water. In cold weather I often boil water and add lemon and that counters the cold factor, with it still being water.0

I count caffeinated stuff as half a water, anything with artificial sweetener as not a water. Uncaffeinated, naturally or sugar sweetened counts as a water.0

I count any zero calorie liquid as water. Any liquid containing calories is counted as food.0

I count almost everything I drink as water. Tea, water enhancers, coffee ... just about anything except coke items.0

I think a simple method would be to just make sure you're staying relatively hydrated, regardless of fluid source.0 -
For me, as long as it's not loaded with sugar, then it counts as water. Also keep in mind there is no standard to how much water a person needs. As long as you feel hydrated your body is fine. Whether it's 4 glasses or 8, it truly is based on the person. Drinking more water will not help you lose more weight.0

The way I see it, it's composed mostly of water, and you're not taking a diuretic with it (other than the caffeine, which is not strong enough to make you lose as much water as you are taking in). You're still drinking water.0

No disclaimer, SS?
I think hot tea is fine to include in your water intake. And I agree with SS, just stay hydrated. Your body lets you know when you're dehydrated...headaches, dry mouth/skin, etc.0 -
Thank you everyone who responded...
And my apologies to those who may have been aggravated with yet another silly question...0
