Hi All,

Happy Thanksgiving in advance! I'm sure you all know the old adage 'Not planning is planning to fail', so I looked up the calories in typical Thanksgiving foods so I could see what was worth the calories and what wasn't. I'm not planning on depriving myself - if I want something tomorrow, I'm going to have it - but I'll probably have less if I know the full calorie content. Thought I'd share what i found:

1 cracker with cheese 70

    "1 piece pecan pie (1/8 of 9-in pie) 480 "

  • WOW thank you so much now I can plan my meal and know my calories. Thank You so much and have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!
  • Wow...I would much rather have a piece of Pumpkin pie at 180 calories than two itty bitty teeny tiny little chocolate mints for 60! :noway: If I feel like I get more I do okay, it's when I feel like I'm not getting enough that I start to want to eat everything in sight. My brain thinks I may waste away to nothing...LOL:laugh:

Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to create this list for us!
  • thats great because the dishes that i plan on making, if i have one serving of each, really isn't all that bad!!!! i'll start out very small and only eat what i can because i know that if i load my plate up (which is what i used to do on thanksgiving because everything looks so good!!!) i'll just be tempted to eat everything thats on my plate:wink:
  • I'm in shock...
