Option 1: "Preston"
Option 2: "Edison"
I value your opinions highly because, as anonymous strangers, you have no social obligation to lie to me. Feel free to tell me they both look like crap -- it would help, because I haven't actually bought anything yet.
I've had thin, rectangular wireframes for years. Have been losing weight, updated my wardrobe, and am thinking of trying something new.

I don't like them... but id totally go with a thicker frame!:bigsmile:0

I think something like the thickness of the top ones with the rectangular shape of the bottom glasses would look good. That's just my opinion though, never wore glasses.0
-
#2. I don't mind the thicker frame in #1 but I don't think the shape works.0
-
i prefer edison but they both look good.0
-
preston, for sure!0
-
I prefer the thinner frame - they look good but you could possibly go for an even thinner frame but roughly the same shape.0
-
I actually have to go against the grain. I like #2 better.0
-
I like Preston!0

Totally would go for the thick big frame, but that's obviously my taste (and the trend this year !)0
-
I would go with 2.0

Edison. I know thick rimmed glasses (without lenses ) are "in" right now but I think they just look doofy. The other pair looks more sophisticated IMO. Maybe if you picked out a thick rimmed pair where the lenses were more rectangular and smaller cuz that goes nice with your face (:0
-
Personally, I prefer the last one of the 4 options. Seems to fit your face the best; then again, you don't have to please me either...0
-
I would go with option 1, preston. Makes you look younger.0
-
#2 looks awesome on you!0
-
A hybrid of them both would look nice.
A rectangular frame like the bottom, but have them thicker like the ones on top.0 -

I was thinking the same thing.0 -
I think number one shade your eyes too much
see how this works. the frame is larger and lets more light in behind them
these are lighter at the bottom and may look better, sorry about the size

-

For those of you willing to go to any lengths to help me decide including clicking on links and imagining my handsome face with sweet new eyewear, I am also considering these other options from the same designer that I wasn't able to get for the home try-on:

I like the Crane. I just feel like the rectangle shape fits your face best.0 -
Love the Matt Damon ones! I like the thickness of the first pair, the shape of the 2nd pair - you're getting there!0
-
Just send the picture of matt to the company and see what they have lols
I like the crane too but maybe it's the green colour making them lighter, they may not match your clothes
You could try photoshopping them on your face0 -
Thanks for the feedback guys. I ordered a bunch more that are rectangular but acetate (thicker) frames. The fact is I've had really thin wire frames for years and I want a change.0

As a fellow glasses wearer with a similar face shape - those high round chipmunk cheeks...what do I know? but I'll suggest something waaaay different. Try a thicker sideframe (wide arms) but a skinnier rectangle shape on the front with possibly 'frameless' style. I think that's what it's called when the frame on the front is only about 3/4 and the bottom of the lens is actually open. I'm gonna forward this thread to a friend of mine who works in an optical office- she'd be the real expert!
Good luck0 -
your face is pretty round so a square frame compliments it more0
-
something more like these i'd say...
