When I started lifting heavy (in April) I wrote down some goals. One of them was to squat 100kg.

I picked 100kg because it didn't seem attainable at the time, after all I was 6wks out of knee surgery.

Tonight my trainer loaded the bar to 97.5kg which would have been a new PB. He said 4, which I did.

He said "Well that didn't even seem hard, I'm almost disappointed."

I looked at him and said "100?"

And he grinned and said "Why not?"

So my squat goal has been attained 100kg (220lbs) x 3.

My trainer took a photo afterwards.

Next goal is Deadlifts x 100kg.

.... And I did it all in a rainbow "I want a pony!" T-shirt, to prove how big and strong I am. LOL.

Wow, that's outstanding, well done! I did 60kg on one of the machines in the gym last week and by the second set my legs were shaking ridiculously. So I have a lot of respect for you! Good luck with the deadlifts! x

I highly recommend ditching the machine and working in a squat rack, you'll work your core/stabilizing muscles more and the machine doesn't allow for a natural range of motion.

Congratulations on shattering your goal - all in a "I want a pony" t-shirt! I'm sure there are more to come (ponies and PBs)!

Yeah, it's my grip Chris. Once I get my grip sorted I'll be flying!

Also 55 x 5 on the bench tonight.

    That's awesome!

For grip stuff I like, high rep bb calf raises or shruts, hanging from a pullup bar for as long as possible, farmers walks and I've recently been doing a few one arm deadlifts. (great for the core too)

And are you using over/under grip on the hard ones?
