I see a lot of members stating their protein is always high, mine is usually low. Any protein ideas from real food? Other than protein powder? thanks!

What types of proteins are you eating currently?0

Cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, almonds are my usual protein snacks0

First question is do you eat meat?
I don't have protien shakes but just with milk at breakfast, chicken at lunch and dinner and 2 of my snacks being either cottage cheese, string cheese, laughing cow cheese, yogurt, or cashews I go over what the site recommends every day. If you are vegitarian or vegan then it would be harder to get the protein.0 -
I looked at your diary, and if I may be so bold, I might make a suggestion that will kill two birds with one stone.
You are not eating enough vegetables. If you eat more vegetables you will increase your protein count. Try adding onions and green peppers to the foods you already eat.
I see a bunch of stir fry stuff on your diary. Get a wok and start stir frying your own meals. You can add more veggies and by looking carefully you can find sauces that are not high in sodium. I suspect that if you eat more vegetables and add a little more dairy, you will be good on the protein with out damaging the other things too much.0 -
i eat nutrilite protein bars. their hella good. they also got a meal replacement bar. their also good i like them
but if you like food... like beans their good also.

Mm, and if you decide to take mromnek's advice (which sounds really good to me) you could add a little tofu to your stir fry,, if your still under0

mromnek-THANK YOU! You are so right! I certainly don't eat enough vegetables! I will do what you advised. I never really noticed it until you said it. Thank you so much everyone!! Getting a wok sounds like a great idea! And I do eat meat, just don't like to eat read meat that often. I eat mostly chicken and salmon. thanks again!:flowerforyou:0
