I am hosting a small Thanksgiving this year (three adults, two kids). Not really interested in doing the same old thing...looking for some new and original ideas. Anyone have any good, untraditional turkey recipes?

2 years ago I was having a small gathering 4 people for thanksgiving and didn't want the leftovers from a whole feast so I bought a boneless turkey breast and had the butcher butterfly (slice it open) and pound it to 1/2 inch thick. I then put a thin layer of my stuffing on top and rolled and tied it. Cooked it like a roast. The slices were so pretty. And it could be made very healthy.

So it was thankgivingy but a little different.

Sorry if I killed this thread...lol
  • We switched to Cornish game hens for thanksgiving instead of turkey years ago if you're really looking for non-traditional ideas, there you go. Make a bird for each person (or 2 per person). Makes a lovely display as well.
