St. Patrick's Day festival... and food...

Well, today was so much fun because I got up this morning and ran a 5k race with some friends of mine. The problem is... it's a St. Pat's Festival... so tons and tons of junk food everywhere. I ate a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich... and now I'm feeling super guilty. I really need to work on my will power! Does anyone have suggestions for what to do when faced with NO healthy food options? So frustrating!

I go with the rule of cutting it in half and just eating half of it. I'm still getting the bad, but not as much.0

If you put in a strong effort in the 5k, there's a good chance you've got an extra 500-1000 calories of wiggle room. I wouldn't sweat it.
In the future, the cut it in half rule is a good option. When I go to Subways, I get a footlong, but only eat half of it, and save the other half for lunch the next day. Always ask for a doggie bag when you have that option0 -
st patrick?? as in the patron saint of Ireland?
I didn't realise people in the US celebrated that. (unless theyre irish obviously)0 -

Ohmigosh YES!! I'm heartbroken that we're not in Savannah this weekend. There are tons of Irish bands and dancers and groups and families. It's a HUGE party, and so so so much fun! Not to mention our second-favorite rugby tournament!0 -

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will TRY to only eat half when I'm at a festival or something of the like.0
