Hey hi, I'm Obin - or at least on the world wide web I am
This is not the beginning of my journey, but it's the beginning of my copartnership with MyFitnessPal (thanks to the wonderful invention of the iPhone). I'm a 23 year old solo female living near Calgary, Alberta. I love animals and have a dog and a cat (my dog is healthy, but oh my gosh my cat would eat his food bowl if I'd let him...he came with the name Nibbler, I quickly found out why, haha). My goal is 45 pounds lost before I regroup and go again; my starting weight was over 260 pounds, but that was more then 4 years ago, I currently sit at 195. I know I'm going to need the support of all of you girls and guys alike as my body likes to hover at the 200 range (and has been for the past year, grr). I like my binge days...don't we all? But then I smack myself back into reality and realize that life isn't all fun and games and good food!
My biggest motivational downfalls are in my evenings - I work a very strenuous job (I'm not fat because I'm lazy, I'm fat because food is so good! haha) and very long hours (consistently 11 hours, 5-7 days a week) so I do very well during the morning and daytime but when that sun goes down and I collapse into my hotel room I really don't want to cook something healthy, I want to amble next door to A&W and chow down in 10 seconds flat. Unfortunately that proves to be a bad idea time and time again...haha.
Anyways, I love to talk - chat - share my brain - babble on insessantly; so I would love to meet each and every one of you...as long as it takes to do that, haha. I work on the road for the most part, so I'm one of those loser-loners in their hotel room every evening seeking the friendship of others; I am really looking forward to making friends here, people with goals like mine!
Sincerely,
Obsessive Insanity a.k.a. "Obin"

Welcome to MFP Obin:happy:
Love the name of your cat!
Sounds like you've got a good plan to set a goal, regroup and go from there.
This site will give you enlightenment, a place to keep track of goals (food and workout and teach you HOW to workout when you feel you have no time!), Also a great place to meet friends with similar goals and be a place to hang out with folks and read the threads while you find new ways to cook up some healthy food and stear clear of A & W! For starters, does their menu have anything somewhat healthy on it?
You'll no doubt get a ton of ideas on what to keep with you so you can begin eating healthier folks here are always helpful!
Glad you're here!:drinker: :flowerforyou:0 -
I don't travel, but job also has long hours and is very stressful. I know I have fallen prey to the same situation time and time again.
I too hope to be able to stop it at MFP. I have the support of my hubby and the community and so do you!
Lots of luck and I know you will be successful.0 -
Good luck with your goals.
