An email from my husband xx

An email to my husband yesterday about an awards ceremony we went to last night....

I keep flipping between

- if i take the baby people will know i have just had a baby and be kinder to me about my weight

to

- the baby will be a pain in the *kitten* DONT take the baby

to

- I look like a whale, my poor husband

to

- if i take the baby will know i've just had a baby and notice his amazingness rather than how disgusting i am.

arrrghhh

Don't worry too much babe whatever you decide to do will be fine. At the end of the day regardless of how you look or what you do or what accessory you have etc. I chose you to be my wife and I love and adore you with all my heart. People will see that and probably not think anything of all the other stuff. If Eric does come and is a pain in the *kitten* then, I am afraid you will have to deal with it at least until after I have gone to receive my award, so that is something to consider. Other then that I think you should just look at this as, you coming to watch your darling husband be acknowledged for what he has achieved and bollocks to the rest of it.

I love you whatever happens, as always

I just wanted to share because i thought he said some really lovely things that we maybe all need to hear if we are a bit uncomfortable in our skin xx

This is incredibly sweet. Sounds like you have a good one.

My advice would be to remember that he loves you, and that you are going to celebrate him, so forget the rest of it!
  • AWWWW! He is a keeper.

I'll take an analytical approach to answering your question (as an actuary, this is what I do):

The people who know you know that you've gained weight during your pregnancy and therefore understand why you've gained weight.

The people who do not know you couldn't care less about your weight.

Therefore, leave the baby at home and enjoy the evening's celebration of your husband's achievement.

Upon closer reading, this isn't a question as this already happened. It's sweet that your husband supported you in whatever decision you made and he was trying to tell you not to worry about what others think. It only matters what you think.

Aww he's so sweet <3 My advice is don't take the baby and enjoy your night :)
  • LOVE this!!!! He's awesome, and so are you! Have fun! :)
  • You are as lucky as myself. We both have very supportive husbands that aren't afraid to show their love and support for us. Take care of him and I hope you go and have a good time.

Your right it has happened :) I didnt take the baby and all was fine, a very nice gentleman (of about 85) asked me very sweetly when the baby was due ;) but that was sort of a compliement really, because you see when i was actually pregnant, nobody really asked me that because i was so big 'round the back' that I just looked extra heavy...

So it was actually quite nice to be told i looked pregnant with a big belly rather than all round fat :) I have lost it all most off my fae and back anyway :)

We had a wonderful evening, though i did miss my little boy!

I just thought Liams email to me was so sweet and so supportive. I am very much looking forward to getting back down to weight and having the best of both worlds, knowing that i have a man who will absolutely love me no matter what i look like, and being slender and gorgeous :D
