so over the last few weeks my mom has been getting ready for a bake sale at her house. she has been baking constantly every day. i finally gave in last night and had 2 coconut cookies. since i haven't eaten anything that sugary in the last 2 weeks, i got an extreme sugar rush. today im paying for it though my stomach is extremely sour and the thought of food makes me want to throw up. im eating my greek yogurt hoping that will increase my appetite

Two coconut cookies? That's your issue? That's your "extreme temptation"?
Here's the good news: I think you'll live to tell your grandkids about this experience! :laugh:0 -

the temptation was thousands of cookies. i had a bag of the left over.0

SOUNDS LIKE MOMS COOKIES MADE YOU SICK HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE DO YOU SUSPECT ANY FOUL PLAY HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN FIGHTING OR ANYTHING MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO GET SOME BLOOD DRAWN TO CHECK FOR ANY PATHOGENS OR TOXINS THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN THE COOKIES GOD BLESS0

Well done on only having 2!0

i wish i had a picture of a few days ago when there was cookie sheets and butcher paper lining every inch of the counter and the stove. completely covered in cookies. it was like stepping into a weight loss nightmare.0

You had an extreme temptation and you only ate 2! That's not "caving in" .. that's eating normally. 2 cookies as a dessert during your day is not unhealthy, it could actually be good for you.
I would consider "caving" to be eating 1/2 the bag or the whole thing.
Take it easy.0 -
Having sugar just makes me want to have more and eat more the next day! In a way I'd say you are lucky.:ohwell:0

i've been trying not to eat any sugar for a few weeks to help cleans my want of them. it took me a while to completely get rid of red meat, pork, and fried foods. sugar has been my fall back vice.0

If anything, you CONQUERED extreme temptation! I'm going to be honest and say I wouldn't have handled it that way. I would've had twenty cookies. Two is probably a normal portion! Congratulations!0

Wait. So are you upset with yourself, or are you bragging?:ohwell:0

There's nothing wrong with eating a couple of cookies if you're craving it. Chin up...0

hhhmmmmm, I will gladly swap those for the 3000 extra calories of junk I had when not so happy one day and ruined the week. got over it and started again though. :happy:0

a bit of both, the fact that i lasted till 2 days before the bake sale before i ate any cookies impressed me, but also the fact that i had some kinda made me upset myself.0

Facing crazy temptation and only giving in to have 2 cookies is a success, I would think. 2 cookies, I don't care how sugary they are, will barely set back a single day's worth of work. Be glad you enjoyed a treat in moderation and keep it up
Never giving in to the awesome foods in life is only going to make you miserable. Knowing that you can control the urges, though, and keep it reasonable, is something to congratulate!0 -
well, maybe remembering this little bout of discomfort will be a negative reinforcement to help you avoid temptation like this next time you come across it. I found out I have a gluten sensitivity and it took me a few episodes of trying to eat bread products again before I learned that it wasn't worth the consequences  :blushing:0

i have been hopeless for the last 2 weeks so 2 cookies would be good for me :laugh:0
