Only eat when you feel hungry. Forcing yourself is useless.

Nah, don't eat all that! Just eat what you can :)

I'm never really hungry when I go hiking :P Last time I ate some carrot sticks, a slice of ham, and a piece of bread. And a bit of lasagne for dinner xD ;)

Obese people tend to overestimate burn and underestimate calories consumed
Underweight people tend to overestimate their own intelligence.
There, see, we can both make sweeping and generally unfounded generalizations about large groups of people.

    Not unfounded http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199212313272701
I can provide more if you want

Do you have any way of backing up your claims?

This study asked people to try and remember what they ate the next day not record at the time of eating, not the same thing.

Didn't read the first study, but finally got around to reading this one. The study found that overweight and normal-weight people underestimated calories equally. The only difference was that overweight people chose to eat higher calorie meals, which both groups underestimated more dramatically than lower-calorie meals.
So, fat and skinny people underestimate calories to the same degree, but fat people eat more calories overall.
    Shocker, huh?
