At least 1000 has to show on my HRM. I won't stop until it reads at least that. Anything over 1000 is a bonus :)

I aim for 500 calories per workout, and I try to workout at least 3x a week.

I don't have a calorie goal - if I'm running I set either a time goal or a distance goal before I start. I just log whatever I burned during that workout.

    I aim for 400 calories x5 a week, so 2000 per week

this times a million. working out is about getting better at something, not about an arbitrary calorie goal. set a plan where you get faster, or can run longer, or can lift more, or get more flexibility. hell, i don't care if your goal is to clean your house in record time, just set a goal that's about accomplishing a real thing, not hitting some randomly set calorie number *that you are then going to eat back*

I just do what I do and let MFP worry about the calories lost from it. A workout is a workout

500 per day of exercise (1 30 minute workout AM & 1 45 minute workout PM) & if I can't get that in for time reasons I take extra trips to the bathroom, take stairs, clean more, get up :& down from my seat at work more, try not to sit at home....I figure every litte bit counts!

I am lucky if I can get 250!!

I rely on the equipment at the gym to tell me what I've burnt... which is like 100cal for 20 min on the eliptical.

I like to spend time with weights and other activities to though, so not sure what they burn.

Note to self- invest in HRM

I don't worry about the cal burn, I just give it my all every workout.....usually though it averages between 400-700 (I have a HRM).

I aim for 500-700 depending on how many workouts I plan per week. I try my best to burn 3500 in exercise per week.
