Exercise releasing virus in system?

This has happened on several occasions and I'm very curious about why it happens.
I hadn't been working out too hard. Just long walks with the dog. Then I decided that I needed to kick it up several notches.
Yesterday I did a vey hard spin class for the first time in months. Today I feel like I have a cold.
Several months ago the same thing happened the day after jumping on trampolines at an indoor jumping place. It has happened a bunch of other times too. Is the exercise shaking stuff lose from somewhere? I can push through it and keep working out. I'm just interested in why this happens. Can't find anything when I google.

Off the top of my head, could be one of three things- 1) you have some airborne allergy (like dust or dander or pollen) and the extra breathing during cardio is causing you to breathe more of the offender in. 2) you already have a cold and the stress is supressing your immune system enough to let it flourish or 3) it's a coincidence.0

My nose runs when I shovel snow. I've been wondering the same thing. Am I allergic to the snow? Is the activity releasing some kind of virus? I hope that someone can shed some light on our problems! :sad:0

I sometimes get sick when I haven't been eating enough and it seems like my body is just vulnerable because it doesn't have the energy to do what it needs to do. IDK, maybe you're wearing yourself down with too much exercise and not replacing the calories your body needs to run it's immune system properly?0

You might also have asthma or just sensitive lungs exacerbated by heavy cardio. What are your symptoms?0
