I have this black tie event coming up in a couple of weeks for work and I want to find a rockin' dress. Sophisticated, but sexy. Got any websites I could browse? I don't really want to resort to a department store ;p

    So you posted this a while ago and I'm not sure this suggestion will be of any help/if you've already looked there, but do you like modcloth.com? They've got quite the array of dresses for all sorts of occasions, so if you hunt through their selection a bit I'm sure you could find something to suit you.

    What's the problem with going to a department store? If it's only for one event get something cheap. You can get sexy, professional looking and a great dress for cheap.

    Have you ever been to Deb's? They have lots of dresses, and if there isnt a store near you then you can look at their website.
