My name is Kiea. Trying to get my body in shape before the summer and lose 10 lbs. Dieting and exercising are two things that I am not that good at. Just need some encourgement.

Hi Keia! Please feel free to add me...I started using MFP in September with the hope of losing 13 pounds. I'm only .3 pounds away from that goal now, and just changed my goal a bit to 5 pounds lower. I don't think of this "journey" (I hate that word, lol) as a diet and my diary would not be overly inspiring (I could definitely consume more fruits/veggies) but I do stay within my calorie goal most days. I've gotten the exercise habit down pat now and workout 5+ days a week consistently. I was definitely where you are now and if I can do it, anyone can:)

You can do it! If millions of people out there can do it, you can do it also. Starting something for the first time is always hard. That's the hardest part for me, but once you get in the workout groove and especially see results, you will be hooked. Seeing that I can go to the next notch hole on my belt or wearing those clothes from five years ago, it's such a rewarding thing that keeps you going. That really motivates me. It becomes addictive and can't wait to wake up, get off work, finish house chores etc just to work out. So just start it, and fight those urges to quit. If it is tough, hurts or makes you tired, then you are doing it right. Just push through and keep going. Think of your goals and what you are working towards and you will surpass your goal.0
