I'm a female (in case that wasn't obvious) and am 5'7 and 132 lbs.0

That's true it would be more for vanity because I feel really good and healthy now
And you're an MU Tigers fan. So you're good to go!
Well we're at home tonight, but Syracuse is tough. I hope so!0 -
I am a 5'3" female and weigh 131 lbs. So, I would say you should probably try to gain some muscle at least.
How is your height and weight at all related to how much he should weigh? It isn't.
Generally speaking, men weigh more than women at the same height because men have more lean body mass. Did you not know that?0 -

I know that. That does not mean that what she weighs says something about how much he should weigh. If she were a 5'8 male, maybe it would be more relevant, but she isn't.0 -

She was offering a comparison, which is completely relevant to the OP's question of if he is too skinny.0 -
When I say my frame is small my wrist is 5.25" same as my 13 year old daughter so that makes it tough not to look thin lol0
-
After reaching my 135 lb goal looking at myself in photos I think I look a bit thin, is 135 a healthy weight for being small framed. Having a small frame makes me look small anyway, don't know if I like the lanky look.
P.S. No, you don't look scrawny at all in my opinion and your arms look fairly muscular.0 -
Depends on your age. My bf is 5ft10in and weighs about 140. He is scrawny but eats like no other. He is lifting to build muscles. I suggest that.0

I don't know why ladies are comparing, you're supposed to be heavier than us (T and A)
no, with same height males and females, the male is supposed to weigh more as a general rule.
Males are more dense
(in more way than one sometimes...lol)
*just kidding, before someone gets butthurt. I love men. ♥0 -
Because its a double standard, for a man it's a little lanky. But at the same time , there is noticing wrong unless YOU don't like the look. I don't mind it, but If your significant other is ver small also I'd probably look forward to some bruised hips. Lol.0

That said, it's up to you, really. If you are comfortable where you are, then unless your doctor tells you that you are too thin or unhealthy, don't worry about it. If you feel too thin, then try lifting heavier and eating a little more to bulk up a little. Just make yourself happy.0 -

On the plus side, if you don't have much body fat, you'll be able to see the results of building up muscle fast!0

Yes I've been doing p90.0

My husband is 5' 9 1/2' when I met him (26 yrs old) he barely weighed 119. I like skinny guys.
He ate enough ! Plenty. But not healthy stuff and didn't have muscle I would think your weight with lean muscle would be good as long you eat and feel healthy.0 -

My hubby just turned 50 and is 5'7" - same height as me. At 170 his Dr. Told him his cholesterol was very high, so on a dime, he did a 180 with his diet (don't we wish we could all do that?) in the 25 years we'd been together at that point, I'd never seen him eat fruit and when I'd cook veggies, he'd never eat them. suddenly he was a "clean, healthy" eater. He lost 35 lbs in about 6 months. I think he's very skinny. It's like having sex with a Skelton LOL!
He likes the weight he is but every one tells him he's too thin. He doesn't eat a lot, but he won't listen to anyone! It's been like this for about a year now. when he shaved his head everyone thought he was a cancer patient! Now that he's not doing that anymore he looks a lot healthier and People have stopped bugging him about his weight. At the worst, one of his partners offered him $1000 to gain 10 lbs! I was ready to jump on that one I sneak ground beef into our meals now and again to make sure he gets at least a little fat!
I guess I just want to say that as long as you have healthy macros, there's probably nothing to worry about. I'm not sure my hubby does, but he doesn't listen to anyone. I can't make him change so as long as I control the meal prep ...0 -

I'm 5'3 female 129 lbs and people are starting to tell me I'm getting to thin, I don't think I'm there yet on the to thin chart, my goal is 120. I'm a 3/4 jean and s/m top (I'm a small frame). I can't imagine being 5'8 at 135 lbs I would imagine that is to thin.0

Unless you're a flyweight boxer or racehorse jockey there is no reason for a man to weigh only 135 pounds.
Eat lots of protein and lift heavy!!!0 -
I think 135 is not too far off (especially for a male) if you have very low body fat. As stated previously, work to add muscle. The problem is, it takes a long time to gain pure muscle (without fat). Realistically, you can add about 6-8 lbs per year of LBM. Some will tell you that more is possible, but if you do research of peer-reviewed information you will see that unless your 'enhanced' or exceptionally genetically gifted, more than that in a year is a little unrealistic.0
