I feel like this past week, I've had a couple questionable days with going over my 1400 calories and I did not log nearly enough exercise, yet the scale is either staying the same or going down.. Does this mean, I should up my calories more on days, I put in a really tough work out? I don't want to eat a lot of calories but thought it was a little strange.. I'm wondering if it was just an off week altogether or maybe I need to recalculate my numbers. Based on my trainer I only eat 1400 calories and I'm allowed to go up to 1500 if needed. I also rarely eat back any exercise calories. I could just be overthinking it, but wanted to throw it out there! : )

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, but the thought of increasing just made me really nervous!0

Id up them - I was and still am shocked at how much I can eat. I started at 1200- did well - tried 1400-1500 lost even faster - believe it or not- and now Im on 1700-1900 (heavy weight lifting 3x a week plus cardio here or there) I never eat back exercise cals as Im eating 20% below TDEE. Im 5 2'' btw and lost 21 lbs doing this. I am 2 #s from goal and get tempted to go back to low cal to force it off- but Id never be able to work out and all the other stuff I have to do. If I dont eat- I slowly die. (little dramatic - but just a little!)
Good luck!0 -

My calories are 600 higher than MFP wanted me on originally. I am losing 2 pounds a week anyway.0

Thank you all for your replies! I will definitely start increasing the calories! I have been weight training 2-3 days a week, plus cardio and yoga at least once a week. I hate feeling guilty when I go over calories, even when I'm making good food choices! Happy to hear that other people are experiencing the same thing! Thanks again! : )0
