Hello everyone. Before I'll get into my story, I'll give you guys a little background on me [and who I am]. My name is Gisselle. I'm 25 years old. I live in New York City and am a member of the LGBT community! I'm also a Vegetarian converting to Veganism. Hence, I'm a huge animal lover and am a Veterinary Assistant at a local veterinary clinic. My ultimate goal in life is to become a Veterinarian - and open a no-kill animal rescue/sanctuary that is not limited to any type of animal [from reptiles to pigs and cows and horses! You get the idea
] I suffer from anxiety & depression, and get a lot of panic attacks which limits my day to day living. Although I am very happy and proud to say that I've overcome a lot of things in my life! This is just another stepping stone that I must get over!
With that being said, here's my weight story:
So as my subject line implies, I've been at this before [as have many of us!] I joined MyFitnessPal originally in September of 2011, weighing in at 162.5 lbs. Slacking, but going little by little, I made the change from 162.5 lbs to finally hitting 143 lbs in April. Just so you can get an idea of the change I went through, I included some pictures!

At that point, I was starting the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. Needless to say I didn't move past the first week. I eventually gave up after seeing that I went from a size 12 in pants to a size 7 - my jean size from when I was a teenager! Now, just eight months later, I am right back where I started.
My goal by rejoining MFP is to get to 130 lbs, and tone my body. I want to feel healthy and look healthy. I want to be able to motivate others, and be motivated. I want to look in the mirror and feel secure and confident about myself. I want to be happy with who I am. Hell, I want to WANT to be naked 24/7 because of how amazing my body looks. Not really, but you get the picture!
There is so much more to me than this, but if I sound like a person you'd like to help motivate, and who can help motivate you, please feel free to add me
I hope to hear from many of you soon.
Take care & I wish you luck on your journey!
Gisselle

Hi Gisselle, I am exactly the same. My first day back since loosing twenty pounds and now regaining 20 pounds. I am vegan and have been for several years so wish you all the best with that. Being a loving caring person, a vegan life is the one for you
I am joining a gym tomorrow. This time I am not going to try and loose weight but maintain and tone the body I have lol ! Good luck and if you need any advice or tips on eating vegan please feel free to ask.

I'd like to come run your sanctuary with you. I almost have one of my own, mostly rescued animals, including 2 snakes, a tortoise, a red-belly toad, a dog, a cat, a parakeet, plus fish, aquatic snails, and an aquatic frog (but I bought them).
I've also lost and regained the weight. I hope this loss will be my last.
Best wishes to you!0
