Hi everyone,

I've literally just signed up and wanted to jump straight in and say hi to everyone. Sooo..... Hi Everyone

I've been sitting on an additional 4 stone for too long (about 5 years) and it's time to show it the door! Not sure how I'm gonna do it yet but I'm hoping I'll get a few answers here.

I know fitness is a great part of any weight loss plan, but I have a very bad back at the moment so if any one has any suggestions of what I can do without aggrevating it any more, that would be great.

Looking forward to chating to you all soon.

Depending where and how your back is hurt you may want to look at a recumbent bike. Avoid running especially on hard surfaces because of the jarring contact when your foot hits the ground. An elliptical may be good as well, those are meant to be low impact. Swimming is great for most joint issues because of the reduced weight on them.

For any strength training talk with a profession (doctor, physical therapist, possibly a personal trainer)

Feel free to add me as a friend if you want. :)
  • Running..... that did make me chuckle. No chance of that happening here yet.

Now swimming I love, so I think I will take that suggestion and go with it.

I'm off to google swimming pools in my local area and see if I can fit it in after work.

    Thanks

  • Hey!

Feel free to add me. Motivation is my business! I know you will struggle and want to give up, but keep your goal in mind. If it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be worth it! YOU CAN DO THIS!!! :D
