Log it, those calories add up quick. Personally, I log everything that I consume.

I log as well. 1 oz of liquor is 69 calories!

You should definitely log your liquid calories regardless of juice, soda, coffee etc - they add up really fast! There's sugar as well so that's important too. If you're drinking a latte everyday that will affect your macros.

If you want to truly capture your caloric intake it should all be logged accurately.

sorry i ment to add in there that i do log alcohol ... i very rarely drink so those calories are always accounted for. I guess the main thing i dont log is tea/coffee or diet drinks (although i rarely drink pop too)

hmmm guess i should start logging them lol

    I don't log booze, I don't log exercise.

I never have, I never will.

    Yeh, I know, bonkers.

I agree, log everything. I even log my green tea consumption, and that doesn't even have calories. It helps give you a overall picture of your eating habits when you look back on your diary. I think I'm going to start writing in the diet notes as well, to keep track of how I felt that day on what I ate. Couldn't hurt right?

    same as this guy

but then all I drink outside that is water and diet coke (which are both essentially calorie neutral)

Calories are calories. Log whatever goes into your mouth.

I do for tea because I use sugar to sweeten and thats 45 cals. If you are drinking tea/coffee straight then I would think not, then again I don't know if coffee has calories..... I wouldn't want someone to look at my diary and think that i just eat 3 tsp of sugar every day..LOL

If you have a soda, there is sodium in it regardless of if its diet, so it depends on if you watch that or not.

I log everything over 5 calories,so I skip spices, black coffee etc. I figure I would need 20 of them to make 100 calories, so I just lower my daily goal calorie goal by 100. I do not have time to add 1 mint or sprinkle of spice.

I don't drink anything that has calories, but if I did, I would log it. Those calories add up, just like the others. If you don't log them you could easily end up consuming more calories than what you realize.

    Thanks Mum, good advice!
  • Everything that touches my mouth gets logged otherwise i feel i would not get a true daily calorie in take. :-) x
  • Even log things like breath mints or gum...it all adds up. Log anything you ingest to give yourself an honest count. And I tend to underestimate the amount of calories burned from exercise etc...

Drinks can end up being a full meals worth of calories in a day if your not careful..especially if you drink milk like me.
