So I didn't realize how much I used food for comfort. I just broke up with my boyfriend and i know it sounds cliche but i'm struggling with it. Meaning I want to eat! I've lost 40 lbs so far on my own and part of it with MFP. I feel like i've reached a plateau, and that i need help and support.

Have you been working out? I know breaking up with someone can really move you forward in losing weight (you wanna look good for your next boyfriend!) Also working out will keep your mind off the relationship and him and you'll start feeling better about yourself. It's great that you've already lost 40lbs by yourself (I wish I could say the same!)

You don't have to go without carbs to loose weight. It's total calories that really count so include them if you miss them. I tried to low carb too and found it boring.

I'm a low carber and I've done pretty well! Down 61 pounds since February (I know...my ticker says 58 but I had lost 3 before I started using MFP). it's not for everyone but works for me! I do miss my cereal and milk for breakfast though!!

You really don't need to cut out anything, in fact to be successful in this weight loss game, it's better if you don't. If you crave potatos - have one boiled or mashed hold the butter (or a little butter if you want). If you crave bread, have a slice of good quality bread and enjoy it. It's all about moderation. Denying and restricting yourself doesn't work. You can fit carbs into your daily calorie count if you want to, just make sure you control the portion size and eat them with protein and veggies as well. A small plate that is 1/4 carbs, 1/4 protein, 1/2 non-strachy veggies is a great meal.

Oh girrrrrrrrrrrrrrl I make SURE that I can have sweet potato fries now and again.
They are now one of my favorite "healthy" sin-type foods!
    Yum!!!
