Office workers

Anyone work in an office with limited space but lots of freedom? I am usually alone so won't look crazy if I do little exercises. My question is what are people doing to fit in little exercises while at the office and what kinds of activities. I'm feeling motivated and bored of being lazy sitting in my chair all day. All suggestions/advice/tips etc welcome!!! I say little because I can't bust out a huge sweat due to clients coming in lol

In the same boat. Found a great website that had an article called Deskercise! 33 Ways to Exercise at work. Go to http://greatist.com/fitness/deskercise-exercise-work/

Desk pushups (or regular pushups if the floor in your office is cleaner than mine). Tricep dips from the desk or a chair with no wheels. Low impact aerobics. Mummy kicks, squats, lunges.0

^love the "no wheels" addition... it made me imagine what it would be like to do dips on a chair WITH wheels....... :laugh:0 -
I don't actually exercise in my office, but I do take every chance I get to walk around. I usually get to my office about 20 minutes before I have to start work, so I walk around the outside of the building until work time. I also usually walk out there for 30 or 40 minutes during lunch. I also work in a large building, so if I need to talk to someone else in the building, I get up and walk to their office instead of using the phone. I usually manage to get in just over 3 miles a day of walking while at work.0

Check out fitbolt.com - every 30 minutes (I think) it tells me to do either a stretch or exercise. I work in a very public area so I can't do most of the things but sounds like it might be great for you.0

I work in an office with a lot of freedom too
A lot of people here sit on stability balls. The only reason I haven't brought mine is that I'm short and it would have me too low for my desk lol. Also, I like to prop my feet up (they feel funny if I don't), kind of hard on a ball. And I don't know how that would work next to my space heater.
Another person in my office does pushups in the aisle outside his cube. He told me his regimen but it was a few weeks ago so I don't remember!0 -
replace your chair with an exercise ball!
i also take the stairs and sometimes sneak into a boardroom to do jumping jacks0 -

Yup I have a desk job, decided today that I was going to set my Outlook calendar to go off every hour to walk around the warehouse (get some misc things done) just to get movement.
I also do squats/jumping jacks and lunges in the bathroom LOL0 -
I work in an office. We have 2 floors so I get up and work as much as possible. Maybe you can do little things like take your trash to the main area instead of at your desk. Anything to keep your body moving as much as possible. Even if it's just a little.
BTW There are great tips on here!0 -
If I happen to be alone in the ladies' restroom, I'll do a set of wall pushups (in one of the stalls next to an actual wall; not the dividers between stalls) and sometimes some isometric shoulder and leg exercises each time I'm in there--depending on whether or not someone walks in, of course. I also take walks at lunch and then eat at my desk afterward (although not everyone will have the option of eating at their desks...I sit in an out-of-the-way place so it's no problem here).0

I try to work in things like 50 to 100 squats or lunges for lower body, and this gets your heart rate up as well. On YouTube, I also found some cool standing ab routines that don't take up a lot of space as well.0
