Hello, I'm Georgia. I'm from Northern California. I'm trying to lose about 50 lbs (although the weight charts say more than that but we'll start there :-). I have multiple chronic illnesses including fibromyalgia and sleep apnea. The sleep apnea is being treated very well with a CPAP and that's given me back my energy and motivated me to try losing weight again.
I'm 50 and a technie (programmer/analyst in local government).

Hi Georgia, I suffer from those ailments plus a lot of others so I know how exasperating it is to try to keep to some sort of routine when the aches and pains intervene! Well worth the effort though and believe me ..much better to get to grips with things now as the older we get the harder it is to lose anything...and I should know being as I am 78 and my weight has become static for the past umpteen months.

Welcome. I'm new to MFP myself (within a week), and I've found people to be helpful, encouraging, and telling it like it is. Glad to hear you are feeling better with your CPAP. I used to be a hospital nurse and it always surprised me how many people who were diagnosed with sleep apnea refused to wear a CPAP.
