I don't have one of those but if I did he'd be driving me there, picking me up and telling me how awesome I am.0

Guess it's just mine that has a problem with it.0

Does anyone else's significant other give them attitude about going to the gym?
sometimes she does. Depends on what's going on, if she's got an exam coming up, how the kids are behaving, if I've spent 60 hours this week already at work, etc.
She'd let me go every day for 8 hours a day if I'd take the kids with me......0 -
Mine did, I guess thats why im single now. She always thought it was selfish.0

I lift at home, so that's not a problem. But when I want to run on the weekend he get's pissy. He works out of town Mon-Fri, so I usually feel bad and just stay home since I only see him on the weekends.0

she thinks you were working out to impress her. (and thats it)0

when I was going to the gym every day for boot camp my hubby got jealous after a couple of weeks. But I told him to think of it as a win win cause I would get that exercise high and come home in a better mood and it is a known fact that it inceases your sex drive.0

i'm not married but i broke up with my last boyfriend a year ago because of fitness. when we met i hadnt yet got the bad news from my doctor that i needed to lose weight. he's thin and active bike rider so i figured he'd be all for me losing weight. not only did i get grief for wanting to spend an hour (just an hour!) at the gym 6 day a week, but he also would sabotage my weight loss efforts. it was stuff like before i said i wanted to lose weight he was totally fine with us taking walking and bike tours in the city, but afterwards it was either seated tours or WAY more food related outings like chocolate tasting..
anyway, my theory on why SOs do that is that they are insecure and think you're going to get fit and look hot and then break up with them for someone better looking.0 -
Every situation is different and balance is important in all aspects of life. On the other hand you have done a lot of hard work and should be proud. My wonderful husband looks a lot like your before picture and even though I love him I would be ecstatic if he would want to make a change towards a healthier lifestyle! Balance my friend. If you want to work out a lot just remember to make some "quality" time with your other since you can't do quantity.0

I usually try to go in the morning before work, when everyone is still sleeping. On my week of afternoons I can't do that.0
