Hey all,
After giving myself a proper look in the mirror, not just seeing what I want or how I use to be, I have decided to bite the bullet and dedicate the next 30 days to getting myself back into proper shape. The last few years at Uni, combined with bad sleeping habits, junk food binging and no exercise has made my 28 year old body flabby and my bum is sagging and has cellulite! (Argh! lol) Having slim arms and legs means I can normally hide my untoned parts, but this year I am determined that I will be able to wear a bikini and feel comfortable. So that is my goal. I am currently 60kgs and 5'4 and I want to get back to my 54kgs.
My problem has always been lack of willpower combined with slacking off when it comes to sticking to a plan. That is why I am here, I figure that keeping a public record of my progress and meeting others that are trying to achieve similar goals will help strengthen my resolve.
Currently I'm debating between using Tracey Andersen's 30 day method (and using her metamorphosis dance workout for my cardio) or Jillian's 30 day ripped. I plan on following their menu plans as best I can, but admittingly Tracey's 1200 calories a day is going to be hard and I dont have a juicer, so not sure how Id go around making the kale/beetroot juice etc. Still, I would prefer a lean dancer like body than actually ripped anything... but if anyone has any experience with either program I'd love to hear from you!
Anyway, that is all for now. Glad to be here and am excited, yet nervous, about the month ahead!

i think its awesome that you want to do something but dont rely fully on these programs you have to find out what works for you! also since you said you have a problem with motivation doing a program just gives you something to blame other than yourself! just try to cut the junk food and eat healthy with some exercise and youll get there!0

Best of luck!! you're on the right path0

I'm right there with you! Same problems, same age! I think using MFP for dieting should be enough. Be sensible, but eat what you like. With exercise I've head no problems keeping a 1200 diet. Best ofl uck, and feel free to add me if you like. I'm looking for dedicated friends to motivate me and are active on MFP.0

I like Jillian's method but I don't follow the diet but that's because food is one of my issues. I would just set myself for failure! I have already seen great results. You can add me if you like!0

Thanks everyone! I'd just like to add the reason why I am looking to do a 30 day program of sorts is because I need structure to keep me motivated. If I just try and do it myself without a proper framework and schedule of what I need to do/eat every day Im going to fall off the bandwagon I fear lol0
