I'm eating this pizza right now while I'm typing this. I was so excited, I just had to share with you guys right away!
Awhile ago I saw "The best thing I ever ate" on the Food Network. It just so happens it was on pizza that night and one of the places was located in Philly. I really wanted to go there and try this pizza but there was nothing else on the menu my husband would have eaten. Since then, I've been dying to have it so I finally decided to make it myself. Here is my version of a Margherita Pizza. I'm in heaven!!
1 Fit & Active Original Flatbread (Aldi's)
1 tsp grapeseed olive oil
2 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup Fit & Active mozzarella cheese
1 medium tomato, sliced thin
4 basil leaves, cut into strips
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
Preheat oven to 450. Drizzle oil on flatbread and use a brush to evenly disperse it over the entire bread. Then add the garlic, then the cheese. Place the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese, then the basil leaves. Sprinkle the black pepper over it. Bake in the oven (I have a pizza stone) for about 7 minutes. Sprinkle crushed red pepper on top. Slices up into 6 pieces. Heavenly!!!
