Thanks to this forum, over the past few months I've gotten rid of any orthorexic tendencies I'd started to develop after losing weight & after reading all the conflicting diet advice out there, and now I can maintain my weight by eating whatever I want granted that I incorporate healthy food and workout!
I no longer fear fresh bakery bread or white pasta, whole fat foods or good quality chocolate...I've found a balance in my diet & finally FINALLY know what it feels like to truly LISTEN to my body!
I've banished guilty *binge eating* behaviours & have accepted that life will sometimes involve indulgence.
I enjoy my food and have a relaxed approach.
I've developed so much confidence in myself.
I'm stronger and leaner than I've ever been in my life!
I prefer quality foods over quantity of food and know that I can eat 2000 calories a day and not gain weight.
I'm happy and I can now sift through the bull**** that so many people preach in relation to diet...if in doubt, do as the healthiest cultures in the world do...the French, the Italians, the Japanese...eat when hungry and stop when full, eat CARBS, WALK everywhere you need to go, SIT DOWN to your meals & eat FRUIT AND VEG EVERY DAY!

I think my journey has been similar to yours. I now know I am 'allowed' to have treats, enjoy desserts, bread, chips etc as long as I'm go the majority of the time and keep up with my exercise!0 -
