Currently, I'm happy at this weight/size but am desperate to tone up. My main form is exercise is walking/jogging with the dog but in the New Year, I'll be focusing on improving my fitness with running and hopefully get involved with charity runs. I do aqua aerobics on a Sunday evening whenever my work shifts allow and will also start boxercise. I started on 10 Min Target Toning (Pilates) which I loved and was beginning to see results but life got in the way so need to start again.

Here's the thing: I have NO desire to join the gym. Due to my shift patterns and trying to pay off debt, I don't want to commit financially to a monthly gym membership as I probably won't get my money's worth. I like the flexability of the classes but more than that, I ENJOY them...I'm not some fitness freak who wants to slog at the gym for 5 hours a day (kudos to you if so though! :flowerforyou: ) and I love jogging as it gets me outside and the dog gets exercise.

Sorry for the ramble haha. What can I do for toning, preferably in the house (as well as the Pilates)? I have access to some weights.

You don't need a gym...If you have dumbells, start doing a strenght training program with that - google is you friend, or otherwise get the book "smart girls do dumbells" on amazon - basics with lots of info and thirty days worth of programs... Just don't get stuck on the 3 and 5lbs barbie dumbells - go as heavy as you can - the book explains the correct form and everything....

Otherwise, spend the money on a 15lbs kettlebell and get a dvd like Angie Millers Kettlebell bootcamp.... It has different levels and WILL make you sweat and "tone"...
Jillian Michaes's 30D shred is good for beginners, and you don't need heavy weights for that - she has a bunch of other good dvd's as well...
    Good luck!
