If you eat only one serving and log it accurately, and make sure it fits in with your calorie count, you'll be fine. I imagine pudding has a lot of sugar, so if you're specifically watching sugar then it may be bad, but with calories, you can let yourself have a little dessert and not worry.

Depends on what you eat for the rest of the day.

    Respect your calorie goal.
Eat enough of every food group (fruit, veggies, meat, cereal, etc.)

Bad, in what way? I doubt it would be considered a "health food", but I've never heard of anyone dying from eating a box of butterscotch pudding, As for weight loss, if you stick within your calories it shouldn't hurt that either.
  • Thanks guys! I am just having a bit of a sweet tooth. Im good so far on my calories today. Just wondered if its going to keep me from reaching my goal.

    bad?

I use it. I like the boxes you mix yourself and I make it with water instead of milk. I like the flavors that go well with fruit and mix it in fruit salad.
  • eat jello sugar free butterscotch pudding. its only 30 cals per 1/2 cup if made with skim milk. and a TBSP of low fat ot fat free whipped topping and ur set!!

In my world, pudding is good. Especially butterscotch (you have excellent taste). I try not to eat it all the time though :)

It's only bad if it has green stuff growing on it....

MFP gives you a number. As long as you don't consistently go over that number, you should lose weight.

You can eat whatever you want. Try to make as many "good/healthy" choices as possible, but don't be afraid to eat stuff you want sometimes too.

Life happens. Pudding happens. You shouldn't be afraid of food - or that one cup of pudding will ruin you. Eat "junk" in moderation and you'll be fine.
