I'm 5'5 and started out at 185. I'm down to 149 doing keto (low-carb) and the couch to 5k program. It took 115 days to get to the healthy weight range and I still want to lose about 19 lbs. PM me if you have any questions0

I started at 190 in July, but wasn't that serious until September. I only lost three pounds until I got serious.
I decided to get serious and have already lost a total of 12 pounds (9 since September). It's not success story, not yet. But as long as you keep your mind to it, you'll get there.0 -

I am 5' 4" and I started at 189, now down to 156. I started in january, but most of my weightloss is due to doing Insanity regular and logging my food on here the last 101 days. Without missing one! It can be done, just stick with it and you will succeed!0

Hey there! 5'5" and 203lbs starting out here (though I previously was on MFP for two months straight and dropped 20 lbs - hopping back on the wagon)! Just started about a week ago now. So far my body has already adjusted to the lack of crap and I no longer 'long' for those things (for the time being!). I find that what works best to keep me focused thusfar is LIBERAL use of the MFP success stories forums, a certain other online community I frequent with similar structure, as well as just having the right mindset.
In my opinion the most important factor is to constantly (yes, constantly, every second of every day in your mind somewhere) go over your goal in your mind somewhere (whether back or forefront). Envision how you want to be. Want it. Live it. Love it. Obtain it! Carrot on the stick mentality. It works splendidly for me. Picture yourself in whatever stunning outfit you're hoping to fit into. Picture yourself on the beach in a bikini/swimtrunks/whatever and not one bit self conscious about it. If you have a partner, envision how much MORE attractive you'll be to them.
Never stop reminding yourself why you're on this journey. That, for me, has always been my trick. Both before and right now. If I falter logging in, logging food, or if I allow one crumby, crappy morsel to enter my lips, my will power gives in and it's game over. So none of that!
But in any case, just remember that it's as much about the journey as the ending, and the ending is just the beginning! Best wishes and luck to you and happy thanksgiving/holidays! If you want a friend, feel free to add me.0 -
I was much heavier than you and I was shorter. I am 5"3.
I lost all of it from walking and eating clean.
Now I am adding to gain some weight.
Good luck to you. :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi! I'm 5'5" and started at 220. Today is my 4 month anniversary on MFP and I am now 185. I started by walking the first month, added Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred the next month, and started running the month after that. I'm doing my 3rd 5K in the morning! I love this site. Logging my food and exercise makes me strive to do better everyday, and the days I know I couldn't have done any better there is an awesome sense of accomplishment. I have had a tough week here and there, but here I am, half way to my goal! Feel free to add me!0
