Calorie counting for children

My 11 year old daughter isn't overweight, but she does have a belly. Now I've cut down on a lot of her sweets, but she needs more calories in her diet than I get because she is growing. I don't know any good websites to go on to see how to improve her diet. I've gotten her to eat healthier, but I'm concerned now she may not be eating enough. Please help.

    great post, anxious for some answers, i have an 8 year old whos a little chubby but not fat, ive been cutting out sweets for her.

    Umm.. vegetables, fruit, lean meats etc etc ... this is not rocket science. save the sweets etc for treats.

    Set a good example and eat healthy yourself, just give your children smaller portions.

    I would be careful with this putting a 11 yr old on a diet it may backfire on you. Also she is preteen and we all know what her body is going through. Just teach her good choices.
