In a rut lately

I have been on MFP since April 2011 and have recorded every meal and exercise since. I have tweak both the diet and exercise several times and usually end up at the same place. I am 6'3, 185lbs and about 10% body fat. But cant seem to ever make that next jump and get more lean but add more muscle at the same time. Seems like I have to sacrifice one for the other. Frustrating. Any help or friend adds would be nice! Thx

  • I noticed you play hockey, what position do you play? I'm guessing a wing since you are so tall... I played goal in HS and college... haven't played in a while though.

    what are your workouts like to add muscle and get lean?

    You sound like you are doing great.... I am new to exercise and lifting weights to tone up/ build muscle so I can't help ya there.

    My only thought maybe to change the types of workouts that you do?

    Thanks Kelley! I have gotten out of the habit of mixing my workouts up so thanks for that tip and I will give it a shot. You look like you are doing great too and keep up the great work!

    You are correct I played winger most times. Play center too but wing is my natural spot. I lift a fair amount of weights (3-4 x a week), but all the cardio with hockey, surfing and running is negating the lifts I think. Hope you had a nice thanksgiving!
