How long youve been lifting: About 6 months
    Times per week: 5
Split routine or full body: Split

    1 REP MAX
Bench: 130 My goal is to get to where I can comfortably bench 150.
Deadlift/Squat: Never checked 1RM, but I do 110 lbs for 5 sets x 12 reps. Which I know means I can lift more than that but I do it at home so I'm kinda nervous about it.

Pull-ups/chin ups( yes or no): A couple of each. The first time I was able to do one on my own I just about cried since I was overweight/obese pretty much my whole life and had never been able to. Well, I'm STILL overweight but being able to do even one makes me feel better. lol

    Favorite arm move: <
    concentration curls
Favorite leg/butt move: calf raises...because they don't make me hate life.

Do you do isolated ab workouts? If so how often? No

How long youve been lifting: 2-3 months
Times per week: Twice a week
Split routine or full body: Full body each day but different work outs

    1 REP MAX
    Deadlift: 220lbs
    Squat: 185lbs
Bench: 73lbs (using 1-rep max calculations as I never have a spotter to test it)

Pull-ups/chin ups( yes or no): 4 of each

Favorite arm move: No isolated arm moves.
    Favorite leg/butt move: Squats

Do you do isolated ab workouts? If so how often? Just planks and hanging leg raises.

new numbers since I last posted here in may

    Deadlift: 265lbs
    Squat: 220lbs
    Bench: 105lbs
    cleans 140lbs
    snatch 95lbs

I also gained 5lbs since I started so I'm 140lbs. Waist is smaller but quads are bigger :grumble: They look great so I can't complain but finding jeans sucks even more now.

YOU are the ladies I have been looking for!!!

You all sound and appear so successful in what you've been doing here.

Weights scare me. They shouldn't, I know. But they do.
I am almost a full year post-partum and have focused on weight loss, during which time I've been marginally successful. With 1.5 weeks to go until that year is up, I have shred 55lbs.

Now, I feel like I still have 25-30lbs to go(al), using the arbitrary scale number as a gauge. I feel I need to start with the weights.

    Blah blah, right?

    I NEED A LADY MENTOR!

If any of you feel up to assisting me come up with a plan, please please please please message me privately. I understand that doing so in such a capacity can be time consuming, but I would be eternally grateful. I've already learned so much in my 10 months with MFP: I feel like this is the next step.

Sorry to jack your thread, but you've already gathered the group I'd be calling out to :)

Thanks ahead, and keep lifting big things! xo
