nutrisystem?

hello all,

after my surgery, I gained about 20-25 pounds and need to lose it FAST! well not that fast but you get it. the only thing I can do is walk.. for 30 minutes. i've heard about nutrisystem and have talked to people who said it worked for them. i am hoping this will work before i go back to college, or help me jumpstart again. has it worked for you or have you tried it before?

thanks in advance

Why use prepackaged meals and pay out the nose for it when you can pick the food you want to eat, watch your caloric intake and still get the same results?! Very few people on this site will react positively to a prepackaged meal system diet. It isn't sustainable the rest of your life and it isn't necessary. Figure out your TDEE, eat 20% below that and walk that 30 mins a day you can, and you'll see results over time.

I tried this for about 2 months.....food tastes horrible and basically you are paying for someone to portion your foods and count your calories for you.

buy a kitchen scale to weight your foods. pre portion out your lunches for the week. . use MPF to count your calories.

and enjoy better tasting food that you have control of. :)

I would discourage using Nutrisystem. It's just not a sustainable way to lose it and keep it off. You can walk 30 minutes, that's great! Use that, make your own meals and track your calories. You will do fine.

Tried it this time last year, lost 20 lbs, gained it all back plus some when I stopped using it. It is good to show you portion control, but it is costly and most of it is not too tasty. It has however worked for many people, so I guess it is an individual choice.
