I am physically disabled since having a heart attack and open heart surgery at the young age of 44. I am now 49 and my name is Kimberlee. I have multiple health issues including diabetes and it''s complications, sleep apnea, asthma, major depression (which is stable right now with counseling and the right combinations of meds), and have had to have 11 surgeries in the past 4 1/2 yrs. just to keep me alive and fix things that have gone wrong with my body. I am on here everyday and have an open diary. I have to lose most of my wt. through diet although I try to burn some everyday doing something. Please feel free to add me for support and encouragement.

Thank you for reading my story.

    Welcome, Kimberlee.

I have arthritis, also. It's a booger to fight through some days. I'm not disabled, but do have some limiting issues. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like.

I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find lots of people with disablities trying to lose weight here.

    Hi Kimberlee. Nice name

I'm not physically disabled but please feel free to add me for some moral support. The more friends you have on this journey the less lonely it feels. It then becomes that little bit more achieveable :)

Hi Kimberly. I am also disabled with mild Cerebral Palsy that effects my walking. When outside I have recently started to use a walker. I also have arthritis in both hips, lower back, neck, as well as the starts of osteoperosis. I have been on the treadmill walking about 20 mins at 1.2 speed. Also found that I can do the eliptical (only for 5 min) and have started to lift weights to tone my flabby arms. I have often wondered if a disabled person burns more at the gym than a normal person? My doctor has suggested I go from 137 down to 110 to make my walking easier-so thats why I am here. (My profile pic is not current I am about 110 there) I am 5'3" Anyone can add me I am looking for friends.
