Welcome to Vegas. The city has anything and everything to offer. It truly is the city that never sleeps. Tough not to have a good time. You actually have to work at it which apparently one poster here seems to have done. Didn't think it was possible. We have great weather, the best shows, the best food and won't cost a fortune in cabs.

If I ever go (which is HIGHLY unlikely) I'd have to try a buffet there, after an mfp friend described one.

Interesting responses! I have tickets to see Shania Twain at Caesar's Palace and I'm not much of a gambler. I love the night life, drinking, dancing etc. I'm not concerned about food ~ I plan on eating what I like when I like!

I'm so obsessed with Vegas. I go at least 3 times a year lol. In Casino Royale (It's a small casino to the left of Harrah's) they have a bar that sells dollar beers and margaritas. My boyfriend and I parked ourselves right next to that bar for 3 hours and spent 30 dollars...you can imagine how we looked when we left lol. Actually...I don't remember leaving hahahaha.

I looked at the thread because of the poor grammar. I was wondering what the heck you were talking about.

So jealous! I lived within half a days drive from there and never made it (unless you count a layover at the airport). I have no advice on what to do, but have a blast!

Buy the 3 day bus pass...cheap around $12. Stay on Fremont street. Bus pas is the best way to get to the strip or walk and enjoy burning the caloires. Go see the Pawn Shop and Bald Rick and the guys.

You have to go to the ghost bar. Its on a rooftop and the flooring is clear. You can see all the way down. Very cool with an amazing view. That is where my profile picture was taken. Also.. Bring a ton of cash. Beer, wine or mixers are $10 plus out in vegas! Have fun!!!

Get married at one of the cheesy little chapels on the strip. That's what my grandparents did lol

Party at Tao, don't bother going to the strip club sapphire (disappointing), go to the cowboy bar inside of Treasure Island. There are usually a lot of locals there and watching one faded tourist after another ride the mechanical bull is endless entertainment.

Go to a small casino during the day when it's dead and find an old dealer to teach you how to play craps (if you don't already know).

Vegas is fun. Not much for the kiddies if you have any.
I love Penn and Teller, but their show is nothing new if you have already seen them on TV.
Lance Burton is an old style magician, and the show posters look hokey, but it is still a really fun show.

I loooove just being at Caesars, but everyone has a favorite.

If you get the urge to hike, drive to Red Rocks. There are some serious trails there.

The breakfast buffet at Paris is reliable.

The fountain at Bellagio is wonderful. If you don't get any after this...............

-Any food at Blueberry Hill is a MUST.
-Wear good shoes on the strip, the sidewalks often get slippery from all the prostitute business cards.
-If you walk through the New York, New York during the day, you'll often get put on the Rok Bar VIP list for free.
    -Town Square mall is beautiful.
-Learn the secret menu for In 'n Out, and go there, you won't regret it.
-Cannery Casino on Craig Rd has a nice theater and lots of places to eat.
-For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT go to the area outside of the Air Force base (especially the Walmart). You might very well end up dead.
    -The Titanic exhibit is awesome!
Don't get a rental car unless you know where you are going. Vegas has an extensive Metro bus system.
-Via Brasil is an awesome steakhouse, but it's about $50 per person.
-Take a windbreaker. It's kinda chilly there in November, but when the wind picks up, it's like being stabbed with icicles. There's no trees to break the wind.
-DO NOT give money to the homeless on the strip, they aren't really homeless. And don't let them pet you (don't ask).
    - Stay inside the barriers on the Strip, you'll get arrested if you don't. Take the bridges.
-Bring money to blow, lots of pretty things there...
-If you have time, go to the Big Cat Rescue. It's a bit away from Vegas, but it's good.
-Watch your bill in bars/restaurants. If one person pays cash, and the other uses a card, they charge both meals to the card after you leave, and pocket the cash. Especially true at the Harley Davidson restaurant.
-Wear crazy costumes, you'll never see those people again!
-Order Manhattan Pizza. It's owned by some pretty awesome guys from Iraq.

If you wanna know anything specific, please ask. I lived there for a year and a half when I was stationed there in the military.
