Okay, so I haven't finished yet. In fact I am only at the end of week 2. Two of those workouts I did the week 1 running because moving on to week 2 running was too much for me.
HOWEVER...
On Friday, for the first time I ran confidently. I felt strong. I ran and for once didn't hang on to the treadmill for dear life. I started week 1, workout 1 walking at a speed of 2.9 and running at a speed of 3.9. Now I walk at 3.0-3.2 and run at 4.0-4.2. While you could still walk at 4.2, I feel really proud of myself!!!
Okay, I now return you to your regularly scheduled inner fitness monologue.

Way to go! :happy:0

Congrats!!! It's an awesome feeling isn't? I started c25k over the summer and running 90 seconds made me want to keel over and die. I can now run for 7 min straight at 5.5 mph. The program really works! Keep it up and you'll be running for fun before you know it!!!0

Wow! I am so happy for you! This is an amazing NSV! Running will soon get you addicted (for good!) My best wishes!0

Thank you all! I love it already. Friday was the first day I really felt like a real runner...like I had it in me.
On Nov. 3rd I walked a 4-mile Zombie Stomp. It was a run, but I walked it with a couple other walkers. I walked for an hour a day 3-5 times a week for 6 weeks. I knew about C25K but wasn't confident enough to start it. Now I have a 3K that includes 20 obstacles planned for March 23, 2013. I have plenty of time to finish the program including repeating weeks as I need to! I am so excited!

Happy to read about your progress and success with C25K!!! You must feel like a champion, and rightly so. It's difficult to start a running program (at least for most people), so you are making great progress. Each week is a milestone that gets you closer to your goal. I am confident you will reach it!0

Well done!! I followed C25K and you'll keep on getting fitter and fitter! Keep up the good work!0
