2nd 5k on Thanksgiving

I wanted to come here to thank everyone for the support and advice that I've asked for over the past several months about running. I'm by no means a seasoned runner, and I'm slow as hell. For me, just entering and completing my first 5k back in October was a HUGE milestone for me.
The first 5k took me a whopping 44 minutes to complete, but I did my 2nd 5K on Thursday, on a more hilly course, in colder weather, and improved my time by 4 minutes! I am so excited. My next race is December 8th, and I think I might finally hit the under 40 minute mark if I keep myself focused and paced.
For anyone who doesn't think they can do it, I could barely run for 60 seconds when I started C25K back in June, and now I can run for 30-35 minutes without breaks. I know I'm slow as honey, but I'm getting there.

Congratulations! I could have posted this (in many ways).
Our weight loss is similar and I ran my 2nd 5k on Thanksgiving as well (my first 5k time was 45) -- see I told you I could have posted this.
My 2nd time was 39.52 as my 14 year old son made me sprint to the finish line to get under 40 minutes and then I threw up but it was all worth it.
keep it up and you are so correct....you can do this. I was NEVER a runner but now I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in 4 months. Anything is possible if you just stick with it long enough....it will work.
Would love to be 'friends' with you.
Again - congratulations!

Congrats!!! That Couch two 5k is amazing......just keep your running and you will get faster!!!! Keep at it....
I started out with the Couch 2 5k as well a year and a half ago. Since then, I've run a 5k, a 10k, and two half marathons. Would love to be pals on here to give you support!0
