would you rather lose 500 calories per day via cardio ?
or 500 calories per day via nutritional deficit ?
i train weights 5/7 days per week and find it easier to do it this way ...
plus i hate cardio ......not even once

I hate cardio, but I love food.
This is too hard. But I would take the deficit and just sleep in later.0 -
Through diet. Cheaper and saves time. And yeah, I don't like cardio.0

Both. eat at -500 from TDEE and then not eat back ze cardio calories0
-
I'd rather do the cardio0

Seeing as I have a lot to lose, I have a deficit from both. I never eat back all of my cardio calories, and never any from lifting because even though I have a HRM I don't trust it for that.0

cardio....I love to eat : )0

Cardio!! I like it ... I can turn on the tunes and just get lost for a while not think about all the "stuff" that stresses me out LOL0

No brainer for me - cardio.
Releases all those happy drugs
Also my cardio is mostly out on the mountain bike getting dirty and having fun.0 -
so its pretty one sided on the cardio front.....0

Maybe a lot of those of us who don't like cardio are too lazy to reply0

I vote for the cardio. I love me some cardio. It clears my head and my soul too. It's not just burning calories.0

I did the eat less calories thing through my 20's and 30's and it mostly worked when I could stick to it, but now in my 40's, it doesn't work anymore. I can eat 900 calories and I don't lost any weight.
Start exercising when you're young and NEVER STOP! I wish I had!0 -
The exercise. I love to eat too much, plus unless you have a calorie intact allowance of over 1500 taking a deficit of 500 isn't a good idea.0

my weight training is very intense .....im a body builder so i eat clean and rain very hard...
i just find cardio mind numbing ......you find the opposite to be true....
my brother in law runs 1 hour a day ...he loves it .....i run to the train station ...hate it0 -
Hmm both... I guess out of the two, cardio.0

I guess it's easier for men to do diet since we can be at a deficit at a calorie level that would be beyond a safe bulking level for most women.0

Yeah, I hate cardio. Definitely diet for me...but anything under 3000 is a cutting diet for me.0 -

I think this is valid. A lot of the women on my friend's list struggle to eat at a deficit because it puts them super low. I'm almost 6' tall, I can be at a 1000 a day deficit and still eat 1800 calories haha.0 -

Fixed what would have been a strong first post0
