Total Newb looking for friends!

Hello everyone, I'm Lindsey. I'm partially new to the site, but I'm looking for friends to keep me motivated to sticking to what I say I'm going to do, and also to offer advice on different things they have done for success. I want to lose about 15-20lbs, or possibly tone up more since my body has decided it loves weighing the same for years.

    Hi Lindsey; partially new? Maybe you're like me...I joined sometime early spring of 2011 but then I didn't really do anything with it....then I came back around the end of June this year...determined to do something. :smile:

    I started by just logging my food; then I started posting, then I started getting friends....anyway here I am.


    If you're body wants to weigh the same, you have to do something to change it's mind....do more exercise and/or cut your calories or both. If you do some weight training, this will help with changing your body composition, which will help improve your metabolism.

    You are totally right about the weight training,I used to go kickboxing and I was able to see a change until I sorta fell of the wagon. I'm hoping that when I move overseas next month, I will be able to find another class to keep up with so that I'm not just working out alone. Thanks for the advice :)
