Climbing back on

I have 'fallen off the wagon' so to speak with my weight loss. I quit keeping track of my food intake and exercise. Has anyone fallen off then gotten back on by looking at their food diary and lost weight again? My calorie intake has basically been the same this whole time. I was less than 10 lbs away from my goal. Now I have those 10 plus a couple more. I am so disappointed in myself but ready to try again.

  • I leaned over the side of the wagon this week. Didn't log on two days and ate way overboard on most of them even when I did log. I did a 5k on Thursday but nothing else to speak of. So today I dug my body media out, strapped it on and started over again.

I wrote this a while ago and send it to all my friends when they need to get back on track.

"I lost but gained again, and now I'm looking forward to getting back on track."

    Think about this!

Imagine a train track. It serves its purpose just fine, but it is NOT designed in a straight line! It twists and turns around mountains and valleys because that's what has to happen realistically for it to succeed.

That's exactly what your track will do, as well!

You are committing to a lifestyle that will include ups and downs.

you NEVER got off track! Your train just went a different direction for a little while because real life happens.

Thank you. I like the quote and felt like I was back on it when I ran today. Pushed myself to go further longer and stuck within my calories today. I am still a bit hungry but nothing a hot cup of tea or a glass of water won't fix :)
