Croutons

Hi all. I love my croutons for the crunch factor on salads but they have a lot of fat and salt to them. Wht do you all like on salads for that crunch factor? Thanks in advance.

    You can easily make your own croutons! I do 6 slices of whole wheat bread, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, garlic, and parsley to taste. Mix oil and seasonings in a bowl and add cut up, cubed bread (crust is optional) and mix thoroughly.

    Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes, toss the croutons around a bit, and then bake for another 15 minutes.

    If I don't do croutons I like sunflower seeds on my salads :)
