Work out your goals/settings with MFP to lose the weight at the pace you'd like (.5 or 1 lb a week, for example), then try your best, one meal at a time, to meet your daily calorie goal. Then, maybe go online and find a free workout video (I just found the 30-day Shred video, and it's not so hard for beginners), then do your best to get moving, even just a little at first. Or just go for walks..or climb some stairs. Anything to get a calorie deficit and lose a couple of pounds. Then, when you're a little more motivated by your success, start working out a bit more and getting stronger, and I think you'll be proud of what you accomplish. But you have to start with the basic MFP steps. Good luck!

Start with walking then interval jog/walking. If you have a smart phone you can get the C25K App. If not just make up your own routine. Do push-ups, crunches, stretching and yoga for strength.

youtube has some great workouts, I esp love the authentic zumba videos.

get your music going and don't stop moving til the timer goes off ... you can do this!

you will have to do full body work outs which is the best anyway. you can start by doing dips on bench for your triceps
you can do squats with just your body weight that is an excellent exercise and will push you to limits if you go past 50
you can do push ups for strength and to work your chest/arms
when you get strong enough you can do pull ups to work out your back and tri ceps or biceps
there's a ton of other exercises you can do to train each body part if you don't have access to free weights.
you just have to search the internet.

and for it happening over night trust me i wished the same thing every day that went by but it doesn't happen. you need to adopt hard work into your life. Everyone had to do this.
  • ty. and yes it would be nice if it happened over night. but i guess all the weight wasnt put on overnight so its not gonna come of that quick lol
  • my biggest problem is losing motivation

If you find a local running track then jogging/running can be a fantastic low-budget way to get some excersize. It can be a little intimidating to get started, so I used the podrunner intervals first day to 5k podcast (just look up podrunner intervals on itunes). I found it really great, and it was really rewarding because you can feel you progress as you run for a little longer each week. It meant that even on the weeks that I had a blow-out diet wise and didn't see much improvement on the scales, I could still feel good that my fitness was improving.

I would strongly recommend investing in a good pair of running shoes (talk to the person at the shop and get them to fit them properly) if you can afford it. Blisters and foot cramps will turn you off running very quickly!
