Calories burned walking in resistance pool?

Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone here has done walking/swimming in a resistance pool. Our fitness center has a natatorium that includes a channel for resistance walking in the water and MAN, did it kick my butt tonight. Walking against the current was unbelievably difficult and even going with the current provided a burn in my thighs. At one point, my friend Missy & I turned around backwards (going with the current) and treaded water, using only our arms to propel us on. Talk about OW. We are going to be hurting tomorrow!
Anyway, I used a combination of exercises I found in the database to count calories burned, but I'd love to see if anyone here has a more accurate way of measuring. I'm betting not since the exercise isn't listed in the database; but I thought I'd put it out here.
Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Consider a HRM that you can use while swimming. That would be the best and most accurate way to know how many calories you burned. I use the Oregon Scientific SE300 and it's rated for surface and shallow water swimming like in a pool (not depth diving like scuba). Just a thought!0
