Just joined MFP lastnight, can use some input/opinions.

so Iam only 23, My main thing I want GONE are my super embarrassing "man boobs". I have noticed they've gone down a TAD bit but I want those bad boys gone! LOL. So what are the best ways to do so? I dont really have weight lifting stuff at my house so thats out of the story, I do how ever love cardio workouts, walking, biking, light running etc. So please list ways I can get rid of them, such as certain exercises, food and or drinks I should an should NOT have.

Also any Zumba fans on this site LOL? I just recently purchased Zumba Fitness 2 on the Wii system, Its ALOT of fun for sure!, But I am not dance coordinated haha, any tips/advice on bettering myself on ways to get better at Zumba?

Lose fat. That'll get rid of them.

    Just follow MFP's guide.

Set up MFP without taking exercise into consideration. So, setting your activity level based on your average day to day activities that are not exercise.

From there, log your exercises and eat the calories MFP says you have. Get as close as you can. A little over or a little under.

Lose the fat and they'll go away. Trust me, I'm living proof. Adding muscle underneath will help tighten things up, too. And, while you say you don't have weights or equipment, there are any number of people that argue you don't need them. There are plenty of body-weight based exercise regiments that will do just that. Here's two that I've included in my workouts:

http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/ - only one exercise in the workout requires any kind of "weights" and that's dumbell rows, which the author recommends gallon milk jugs filled with your favorite amorphous substance

http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2012/04/12/playground-workout/ - nothing on this list needs weights. Box-jumps on a park bench, push-ups, pulling exercise (he shows a nice progression depending on how strong you are), lunges and crunches. Just need to find a park to do it in!

^ Thanks everybody!, "99clmsntgr" you mentioned adding muscle underneath will help. What kinds of things can I do for that? Also everyone, When I start loosing more body fat, wont this cause man bobos to be "saggy" if you will? If so how can I make them not saggy?

For now, chest exercises like push-ups will help. Once you get to the point that you can knock out multiple sets of, say, 15-20 push-ups, you'll have to find a way to either a) add weight to them or b) get into a gym and start lifting weights. The muscles grow in response to a load being placed on them that they have to adapt to (progressive overload). If you're not providing that load, there's no need for them to grow.

Yep. People who lose weight and don't strength train lose more lean body mass (muscle) along with the fat. This leads to what's referred to as "skinny fat" - you can look slim/slender in clothes, but underneath them you're soft/saggy and still have a high bodyfat percentage with little muscle mass. It goes back to strength training. Give your body a reason to keep the muscle around and it will.

There are plenty of ways to make "home-made" weights. Milk jugs, soup cans, sacks of sugar. Don't let lack of "real" equipment deter you or lack of funds.

    Good luck!

This. A lot of the heavy lifters I know said they gained the most mass and tone when they started out and were just doing body weight exercises (push-ups, squats, lunges, pull-ups, etc). Eventually you will need to grow into lifting heavy things - your body will adapt to whatever stress you put onto it, if you want your body to continue to grow, you'll need to increase the stress.

    ok thanks again guys/gals!.
Also when would be the best time to do push ups? Before or after I lose the chest fat?
Because if I do push ups while I still have chest fat, Wont this cause them to be bigger?

Or should I wait till I lose more weight?

Overall fat loss is the only way to eliminate the man boobs. And weight training is the most effective way of maintaining your lean body mass. You can do it at home with some resistance bands or pick up a weight set like the select techs. Second, you will not gain any lean body mass (aka muscle) while you are on a calorie deficit.

Start now. The longer you wait, the more muscle mass you lose along with your fat. Putting muscle back on after you've lost it is a LOT harder than keeping what you already have.

Unless you gain more fat, you can't make your boobs bigger. Unless you get some temporary inflammation of your muscles. Also, check out youtube or www.bodyrock.tv for some routines.
