A long way to go...

Hey, everyone! As you can see by my ticker, I've got a lot to lose and am sick of starting over. Who wants to be my buddy?

Add me, please!

Hey guys! Feel free to add me for support and motivation. I have been where you guys are and even though its not going to be easy, it will be well worth it in the end. Never give up and always look toward your goals and dont let anything or anyone get in the way of you accomplishing what you know you can do!

Hello everyone. I am sick and tired of starting over too. The other day I was looking at my facebook page, and looking at all the photos from over the years, and all I could think was how much time I have wasted. How unhappy, and unhealthy I've been. I don't want to waste anymore time.

I've started and stopped many times before, but there are a couple of things that I didn't do last time, that I'll be doing this time. I'm going to be more prepared with my meals, and I'm going to seek out support and accountability from others.

Just found out that my wife is pregnant with our first child. I'm not going to be 'this guy' for my child, and family.

New Years is coming up, but I say forget new years resolutions, lets get going now.

I look forward to being more active and making new friends. Thanks.

    can i make a suggestion?
dont even think of the big picture..i know for me , that is/was too overwhelming and seemed unreachable .
so i've been setting up mini goals of what i wanted to lose..first goal was 25lbs and thats all i concentrated on.
then i wanted 40 total, and now im working on 60. not thinking of my ultimate goal weight at the moment.
    just a thought :)

welcome though and i shall add you..
my names diana , im 41 and started or should say restarted this journey on april 10th by following the south beach diet , i was borderline diabetic which is why my dr chose that plan and with in the 6 months all my blood work came back normal :)
and am down 45lbs so far.......concentrating on 15lbs right now.

came to MFP because ive been stuck at same weight for about 2 months but refuse to give up. thought tracking and getting support here can help me go forward..

    good luck to you :)

I'm always looking for new friends as well as to be a motivational coach to anyone needing the help. My struggle is always getting the exercise in!!! I sit at a desk all day counseling people on how to eat healthy and the importance of exercise, I just can't seem to get back in the groove of working out. Add me as a friend and hopefully we can motivate each other!!

That's really good advise. I'm doing that now.. tackling my goal in 'chunks'.
  • Very good idea! I'm going to line up some mini-goals for myself. I do get overwhelmed with the "big picture" and trying for perfection. Thanks!

And thanks to everyone who's added me so far :)

I am also hitting my reset button. Probably a hard time of year to do it with the holidays and all but I need to do it or else what little I have lost will soon be back on. I just sent you a friend request but am open to anyone who is willing to help support along this journey!

Feel free to add me too :) I always aim for the little things, mostly the next size down in my clothes. That hasn't happened to often lately though so feel free to kick my *kitten*
