I was sick last week and I've been in recovery all week. Unfortunately I just haven't been feeling like eating. I am consuming about 500 - 600 calories a day for the last four days and I've been feeling awful even eating that. Does anyone know of any foods that are high in calories and nutritious to add to my diet?

Thanks in advance.

If you have an upset stomach follow the B.R.A.T. diet (Banana, Rice, apple sauce and tea) this may not be high in calories....but should be gentle on your stomach if it is upset.

This is my "go to" when I am feeling under the weather.

oatmeal with milk and some kind of form of nut butter. you can throw in some mashed natural granola, some dried/fresh fruit, some jam, or even more nuts.

    plain white rice.

I know it's really bland, but it's gentle on the stomach,

I thought BRAT stood for bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast?

if you are sick, don't worry about your calorie intake. take your vitamins, drink some emergen-c, eat your chicken noodle soup and feel better soon!

Thanks for all the help, rice, tea and peanut butter really helped.

I also thought that the T in BRAT stood for toast but I was also told by some friends to avoid bread....
