Body fat

I've had a search through the groups to try and find something on this but I can't go I started a new topic.
Today, out of curiosity as I don't weigh as much as I use to, I was able to get hold of 3 different ways of measuring body fat.
First: As a member of the gym one of the PT's had this machine where these sticky tabs are stuck to you then attached to a machine = BF 21%
Second= Hand held machine from a pharmacy = BF 26%
Third = The machine in boots there you put 70p in = BF 24%
I'm 10 stone, 5 ft 7 and very active.
How can something like that vary so much and which one am I even supposed to go by.

The first is probably the most accurate of those 3 choices.0

Electrical impedance devices (such as a hand held or special scale) rely heavily on certain factors such as if you've peed recently or not or ate/drank recently or not.
For me, my hand held device is always within 0.2% of the same number I get from using the Military Body Fat Calculator.
Overall, the number means next to nothing.
Pick one, keep as many things constant as possible (such as emptying the bladder, taking measurements in the same exact spots, etc.), and then use it to track changes.0 -
Thanks guys. What I will do is the next time I do one (prob a months time) I will do all 3 again to see if any of them change.0
