Eating 1500 calories at once

So basically for the past 2 1/2 weeks starting on Nov 11th I have only eaten once a day every night at around 8pm. Because I have not eaten anything my hunger is ravenous and I usually eat around 1500 calories except on weekends when I drink alcohol after also and probably have around 2400 calories. Anyway since I have been doing this I have lost 8 pounds in 17 days but using the calorie calculators this is not possible. I should have only burned 2ibs 300 calories of fat tissue. Why am I losing weight so fast are some of the calories wasted?
I am completely sedentary and try to move as little as possible except when walking to class and the bars on the weekend. Exercising makes me hungry so I avoid it.

Your body is shedding water as well as lean muscle tissue in addition to the fat. You may also burn a few more calories in your daily life than the calculators show.
It is easier (!) and more sustainable in the long term to spread out your calories over the day. You can eat the same amount but your hunger hormones won't be all over the place.0 -
I am not kidding everything I just said is true and it does not make sense but this is working.0

those are just estimated calculators your body will respond differently. It could be body fat that your losing or it could be muscle and fat. but if you feel fine and don't notice any extra fatigue while doing normal daily activities then your good to go.0

OP may be on to something !
What exactly are you eating in this single sitting ?.
The fact that you're ravenous when this time comes around indicates your body isnt particularly happy with this "system".0 -
it's not healthy ...sorry but be careful here....Just my opinion and friendly advice.0

You will not gain weight by eating less and you will not lose weight by eating more that is a complete lie. You need to cut as many calories as possible and preferably not eat some days using intermittent fasting.
You seem to have some really unhealthy ideas about eating and weight loss, maybe you should talk with a nutritionist, dietician or your doctor.0 -
Water weight0

Ummm......
First of all, eating all your calories at once is OK metabolically speaking, It's just an ultra-consolidated form of intermittant fasting. HOWEVER, choosing to be sedentary to avoid hunger associated with exercise and regular ambulatory life is NOT ok. It sounds like you have a REALLY unhealthy relationship with food, and the beginnings of (if not full blown) binge/purge cycles. For someone with a tendency towards bingeing, this type of IF (intermittant fasting) is not appropriate. You need to talk to someone about your relationship with food, possibly alcohol (since it's the only thing that motivates you to move, apparently) and weight loss. There are multiple red flags in this short post.
The weight loss is water weight. It will not continue for long, once you've rid yourself of excess water, that's it.0 -
My first thought: trolls come out at night.
Second thought: no one tries to move less to lose weight.
Third thought: trolls come out at night...0 -

Eating all at once = okay.
Not exercising = okay.
Alcohol = okay.
Is it the best, healthiest way? No.
Without exercise, you are losing some muscle weight in addition to fat.
Eating all at once will make the body need to use less water throughout the day (using most of it during the eating period). This means you're likely to shed a lot of water weight.0 -
Kind of funny...then ask yourself: are you going to stay on that kind of pattern for the rest of your life ?
Oh right, I think the answer is no.0 -
I have lost two more pounds this really works.0

Keep in mind that not all weight loss is the same. There is fat loss and fat + muscle loss. The advantage you have now is that you have over 50 lbs of weight to lose. While it is "working" for you now, your body will slow it's metabolism down and it will become a lot harder to lose weight. Depending on what your goal is, if you want any kind of definition, then what you are doing is probably not the best approach and you could be hurting long term results.0

It doesn't seem to matter how much I eat at once its all the same. Because some of the extra is burnt off as heat or something. Shirts are now more loose then when I started.
This really works, I just make sure to chug about 6 glasses of water about 40 min after eating.
I take hydroxycut during the day because the caffeine stops hunger for some reason.0 -
