Hello All,
Just want to take some feedback and suggestions from you all .. I lost 17 kgs in past 6 months and every month I was lossing 2-3 kgs with the diet and workout plan I had. But from past 2 months my weight is just not decreasing below 96 kgs.. the MFP calories burn plan should reduce minimum 2 kgs in 1 month.. but no change ! I have tried to increase my exercise time and some changes in calorie intake but I am not seeing ang change.
Can any one suggest what could be the reasons and how to break this ?

Same thing happened to me. I went from 118kg to 88kg with no trouble but now its getting harder to shift the weight. Ive started weight trainging 3 times a week and 2 weeks later im down to 85kg. Gaining muscle might be the key!0

I´m dealing with the same thing. I may when I started I weighed 104.6kg now I have been stuck for two months at the same weight 90.6-91kg so I can´t give you any suggestion other than keep at it, you will get there some how. People have suggested I start lifting weights and I think I will try that
Good luck0 -
any other sug ?0

I found that when I cut out refined sugar and really kept a closer account of my fat intake that gave my weight loss another kick start.0

Change the workout. I run, but my weight will stop...so I do Zumba...it drops again.... then stops...so I run. Get it? Your body gets used to one type of thing & figures you can handle it all easy so it wont work for it. Change it & it thinks....WHAT THE HELL..... and then has to work hard.....plus you will then use different muscle groups.0

yes u need to train with weights and use the correct form , also increase your calories when lifting /// your metabolism has definately slowed down from dieting and now u have hit a plateu . so u need to LIFT0

This is normal and is happenning to everyone. Body resists to excessive loss. How many calories intake you have per day?0

I'm in a similar situation.
Started at 130kg, now down to 111kg and it's not really shifting (I'm 6'1"). I'm eating a net 1700-1800 cals a day which is quite a big deficit from my TDEE.
Initially, I was exercising quite a lot and of recent this has dropped right off. I'm trying to motivate myself and find time in the day(!) to exercise regularly again to try and kick start things.
If I were you I would change the exercise you are doing.0 -
I felt the same, I went from 108.8 to 85kg and couldn't budge lower.
However I have now budged down to 81kg (it's still tough to show any loss, so you need work really hard as we get lighter!).
I think changing your workout is key, but also you need to continue to be strict with your calories (I found myself slipping slowly and snacking, so remember your motivation and refocus).
I would also note that during the early days I could have 1-2 nights/dinner out and still show a loss, that's not possible now unless I really push myself to make up for the excess at the gym.
Try being as strict as you remember at the beginning on Cals and a new workout for one week and see what happens, I hope you'll be happy with the results.

There are a few reasons people 'stall' most of the time it's one of a few things:
-You have just started the program. Losing does not always happen right away and sometimes it can take a while before you start seeing results. Stick with something for at least 4 weeks before you decide it 'isn't working'.
-You are not eating enough or you have BEEN eating too little for a while. Calculate your TDEE and make sure that you are not taking too deep a cut. As you get closer to your goal you will NOT continue to lose 2lbs/week and especially not 2KG/week (that's almost 4.5 lbs). Use the following guidelines based on how much you have LEFT to lose..If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal (0.9 KG), If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal (0.68 KG), If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal (0.4 KG), If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal(0.2 KG). You can not continue to lose at the same rate when you have less to lose.
-You are exercising too much. In this case what happens is unless you are ADDING calories to fuel your workouts your body will instigate a metabolic slow down to try and conserve all the energy it can. If you are not eating back exercise calories this happens frequently. Try adding back 100 calories / week until you start losing again or cut your workouts.
- If you are doing everything right, you know your TDEE, you are weighing food and are bang on your macros etc then your body may be getting used to your exercise and you need to change it a little. Try not to do exactly the same thing all the time.
Here are some additional ideas for what you can do if you are not losing http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/not-losing-fat-at-20-deficit-what-should-i-do-qa.html0 -

I am definitely using this advice! My weightloss has slowed down as well (scale wise anyway) . I started strength training, but I think I need to change up my workout. Perhaps my body is building a resistance as you suggested.0 -
